[ At first Alastor told himself it was just that power alone that had its claws sunk deep into him and kept pulling him back to the angel. Then he told himself it was because of Adam's status in Heaven and the potential use that could have for him.

None of that was true, though. Because every time they wound themselves down and found themselves simply relaxing together in that little apartment of Alastor's, he didn't move to another room and seek out space. Didn't kick the man out of his bed so that he could mentally come to terms with having yet again given into those baser instincts he'd been cursed with in Hell.

Instead he'd allowed Adam to move closer. Pulled the man in himself on more than one occasion. He'd even allowed Adam to touch him freely unless they were having one of their kinkier sessions where every wrong move meant a new, mind blowing form of punishment from Alastor and his shadow.

Then the truest of horrors dawned on him as he stood on his roof, staff in hand and ready to put up the front that he was defending the hotel when in reality he was simply playing a part and assuring that none of the others did any real harm to Adam in the battle. Then the angel had dove for him and sliced his staff in two, he realized it and froze so like the deer he was in a headlight: his blackened little heart had restarted for this man. ]

I tried to! I even had my minions attempt to signal you, but you continued to slaughter them before they could get the message across.

[ And then... fuck he can still hear the snap of his staff. Feel the bite of Adam's axe across his chest and taste his own blood on his tongue.

When Adam finally says it, says the words Alastor has denied he wanted to hear, his ears flick atop his head and heat wells up behind his eyes. He wants to pull away like he always did when someone confessed to him like this. Tried to get feelings involved in their little agreement causing him to lose interest completely and push them away.

This time, however, he finds himself leaning in and resting his face into the crook of the former angel's neck. Could he feel that the smile on Alastor's face was barely holding on by a thread? ]

We are both idiotic, I am afraid. Because I love you, too.

Hmm only a tiny bit. And only because I am utterly unsurprised by this fact.
If he weren't so hot headed and self centered, he could almost be likable.

[ It wasn't even because of Val's profession or how he treated other demons that centered around Alastor's dislike for him and everything to do with the fact that he'd been touching what was his. Every time he smelled that tacky perfume on Vox, it made Alastor want to give in to the baser instinct to rub himself against the other to replace that scent with his own. ]

I am a DEMON that has domain over RADIO. For being such a high ranking member of Hell, you would think that you would be able to understand some of the nuances of your subjects.

I would very much rather not become like the modern day radio host sitting about a table with mildly attractive women and yes men spewing my toxic nonsense opinions into a cheap microphone, thank you.

I had little doubt that you could after your little clown friend talked you up to me for three hours straight when I mentioned to him that I was looking for someone to be sent on the express way to Hell. The person is a voodoo user and comes from a very long line of powerful practitioners. The angelic weapons ensure 1: they are killed and stay that way in spite of any spells they may have cast upon themselves and 2: that you are able to counteract any magic they may cast at you.

Try not to be so offended, my boy. I simply enjoy being on the thorough side.
