[To think after being alive this long, he could be caught between a rock and a hard place in regards to his feelings. He never expected to feel so heavily again. Not after his two prior marriages. Adam had purposely only desired to keep things physical, and it worked! It fucking worked like a damn charm!
Until Alastor!
He's not sure when it happened, when this had begun to stir within him. Or that he would be forced to come to terms with it, be forced to fight the one he didn't want to fight against. He never wanted to hurt the deer sinner or his shadow.
It was absolutely unfair.
But, that was before, before he was shifted into what he was now. A sinner like the rest. It sucks, but...he had Alastor still, right? Despite everything? But he's not even sure the other sinner can forgive him, if the shadow would even do so. And it fucking sucks. Being in close proximity and not able to touch like he desired. Even right now, he wants to tug the other sinner into his arms and hold on tight, breathe in the scent he's come to know that was Alastor, and wrap these black wings around them.
He can't make a remark on the minions the sinner had apparently sent out. He tries to think back to that morning--had he been signaled?? He truly can't remember. Just that he had been fighting, and trying his best to not hurt Alastor during their battle. At least, despite it all, Alastor was alive.
The former angel's brows furrow, taking in the way the deer sinner's ears flick. And finally, finally, the warmth of his lover is against him, and Adam immediately reaches to grab and hold Alastor, wings circling around them. He truly tries to not tremble at hearing the confession in return, but it's futile. It warms him in a way he hasn't experienced in a very long time. He's heard those words before, plenty of times, but past lovers and prior relationships never made him feel like this. What makes Alastor different is beyond Adam, and he doesn't question it, because to have them both feel the same thing, it's truly everything he's wanted to have.
Reaching his hands around Alastor's waist, he digs his nails into the deer, burying his face as well.]
I love you. I love you.
[The words are chanted in a whisper, to be sure Alastor never forgets.]
[ Alastor hadn't even thought himself capable of love. Not after the life he lived on Earth and the one he led here in Hell. Not after going so long hating the way desiring others made him feel until he met Adam. Until the angel turned everything upside down for the Radio Demon.
His staff falls from his hand, the crimson glow at the top going dark as he brings his arms up around the former angel. Gripping the back of his robes for dear life as every beat of his heart pounds in his ears and makes the scar on his chest throb.
When he lifted his head once more, there were tears in his eyes for the first time in almost a century. Since waking up one morning to find his mother dead in her room after a John got a little too rough with her and left her to die. With a shaky breath, his closes his eyes against the tears and presses his forehead to the other Sinner's. When he finally speaks, the hum of the radio layering his voice was nowhere to be heard. ]
You really should not love me, you know. You know what I am, Adam. You knew who I was even before our fight. I... how could you even love something like me?
[ Because he has to know how someone could ever come to love a monster such as himself. One that reveled in eating people during his radio shows and who snapped the neck of anyone that got close to touching him when he didn't want their touches.
But he never wanted to snap Adam's neck, even when the man had pushed his limits. It only made him want to overwhelm the other further. Break him again and again and again in the sweetest of ways possible until the angel was unable to think of anything but Alastor. ]
