[ Alastor's uses far outweigh his eccentricities. Why else would Charlie be willing to overlook his literal murder tower slapped onto the side of the hotel? ]

That will not be necessary, as I have already told Charlie. There is nothing of great importance in those rooms and we already have plenty ever since our remodel, do we not?

[ Alastor still hadn't the chance to go through what was in there exactly. He needed to make sure nothing incriminating on himself had been salvaged from the destruction of his original radio tower. ]

[ Lucifer doesn't trust Alastor even an inch. He's heading down to the storage rooms, thinking Alastor will throw out things that are THEIR family's, nothing for him to touch! ]

Go deal with your own shit and be useful. I'm not dealing with your crap today on top of everything else.

[ Besides, he doesn't want someone else in the room while he goes through the last of the old hotel. There's a lot of memories that remain from before Charlie took up residence there and he knows it will be... difficult. ]

[Not if Alastor's shadow gets there first and subtly starts sifting through items. Looking for anything and everything that may relate to Alastor.]

I know you believe yourself to be the hotel's big savior, but do not forget who was here first. I have been more useful in this single day alone than you have since the opening of the original oteration of this hotel.

[When the shadow signals to Alastor that it found something tucked away in a corner, he teleports himself to the room in question to distract the short king so they could extract it safely.]

And no. I will not be "backing off" until I am satisfied that the job is done correctly.

[ Alastor is getting rapidly on Lucifer's last nerve today. He knew he shouldn't have anything about what Charlie had asked of him and yet he said it anyway like a total idiot! Argh! Between one step and the next, he appears from a portal in the hallway just outside of the 'storage' rooms, face focused on the phone. ]

The hotel wouldn't be here if I hadn't shown up you pompous pea brain, but YOU'RE the one who keeps bringing it up

[ But the text wouldn't be sent as Lucifer quite literally steps right into Alastor, not expecting anyone to be in this exact spot. ]

UNF! [ With a stagger back, phone falling from his hands in his flail to catch his balance. ]

[ Alastor's eyes glow a bright crimson in the dim room as he summons a tentacle to catch the King of Hell and a second to snatch up the dropped phone. With the buzz of radio feedback, he reads over Lucifer's last little hurrah that had gone unsent thanks to his little tumble. ]

"A pompous pea brain", am I? Well, I am afraid to ask what that makes the literal Embodiment of Pride.

[ Head tilting to the side, the tentacle that had caught Lucifer gives the demon a none too gentle squeeze as it deposits him on his feet and gives his jacket a few pats to smooth out any wrinkles. Never the mind should any of the tentacle's fluids smear on the pristine white coat. ]

That entire post made me cackle!

[ It all happens so quickly that he's caught in those tentacles before he can catch himself, but he has those seconds while Alastor reads out his unsent text caught within them. His nostrils flare at the invasion of privacy, going to squirm when he's squeezed, briefly stealing his breath away. When the tentacle goes away, he scowls and pulls on his coat-

....

He looks down at his hand and his lip wrinkles as he feels the goo. Oh. Oh. Ew. Sinners are disgusting!

With a reach out, trying to grab his phone off the other, he snaps. ] Give that BACK, you walking hentai monster.

[ Oh yes, he knows. Wouldn't have said anything if there isn't tenta-goo on his coat! ]

[ Ahhh, but he couldn't help the giddy elation he feels rushing through his system as Lucifer squirms and flares his nostrils. He wonders if the King has ever met someone with the audacity Alastor exhibited on the daily in his presence. Like the short jokes, it made Alastor giggle to himself getting these sorts of reactions from the demon before him.

Hence why when the hand reached for what rightfully belonged to Lucifer, Alastor held it over his head to play keep away. ]

So desperate for this little device that you have forgotten all of your manners? Tsk tsk tsk. That is most unbecoming of a king, is it not?

[ Though the hentai monster comment goes a little over Alastor's head. He knows it has something to do with his tentacles, but what exactly it means escapes him. ]

[ If Alastor is going to play that game, then so will Lucifer. He's respected Alastor's general 'no touch' rule (despite the fact the demon doesn't respect it for anyone else) over all thus far, other than he's been ready to murder him half the time, but nope! Not anymore! ]

[ His wings sweep out in a heart beat and he leaps up for the phone, practically climbing Alastor in the process. ]

[ Ok. Props to Lucifer for actually managing to surprise Alastor. No one has dared cross that final line with the Radio Demon thanks to his intimidating threats of bodily harm, but now. ]

[ The sound he makes is barely human as he attempts to throw the little king off himself, a mixture of radio static, microphone feedback and the hissing of a thousand snakes. Overreacting? Maybe. But this is Alastor. Overreacting is his middle name so he pins Lucifer right into the nearest wall and holds him there, the phone forgotten. ]

[ SEE? Hypocrite! Fine with manhandling him with tentacles but can't deal with a little touch himself.

But the absolute racket Alastor makes is brutal on the ears, making Lucifer wince before he gets the 'fun' of being slammed into and pinned against the wall. The six wings spread to either side of him, he grits his teeth before smirking at Alastor, their faces eye-level thanks to his leap up. ]

Aww, is the big bad Radio Demon scared of a little touch when he's being an ass?

[ At least the tentacles were merely an extension of himself. The touch muted so he couldn't actually experience any sensations one to one with them. They were a safe way to interact with someone when he needed to.

Usually. ]

I do not fear anything. Certainly not a pint sized little clown calling himself a king.

[ He snarled, the overlay of his voice having calmed as he kept Lucifer's wrists pinned to the wall over his head. Still, his eyes burn black and his lips pull into a snarling grin. Fuck just how much time did his shadow need to get everything? ]

Just imagine a clone and the shadow have been chilling in the storage room waiting for them to chill

[ Look at that, Alastor giving him an in! Lucifer, if he wanted to free himself, could do so without much difficulty, but now there was something intriguing hanging in front of him. So he grinned right back. ]

Oh? Then prove it. [ His chin came up, jaw angled, a picture of Pride as he hung in Alastor's grasp. He knew Alastor wouldn't be able to meet that kind of challenge without violence, only proving his point. ]

Right tho?? Just eating popcorn watching the show

[His lips curled into a sneer as he dug his claws harder into Lucifer's wrists until they sank into the shadows. Once Alastor pulled his hands away, the shadows solidified in order to keep the king trapped in place.]

And how do you suggest I do that? [He asked. Voice condescending but no longer with the edge that tended to drive some demons insane. Propping a hand next to the king's head, he traced the tip of a claw down the front of his vest.] Like this?

[ What the...? Lucifer tilted his head back to look up at his hands, figuring out what Alastor did to him. His brows knit together before he looked back to Alastor, frowning as he pulled against the shadows, testing lightly on the bonds. Alright, actually a little surprised on that. Bit more surprised when Alastor reached out and touched him, but not totally. ]

That's not what you're afraid of. You touch people all the time, regardless if they want it or not. [ Even if his chest arched up a hair into the light touch. ]

[That was far from being the only trick Alastor had up his sleeves when it came to his control over shadows. When he sees Lucifer straining against the bonds, a glint shines in his luminous eyes.]

I have my reasons for keeping physical contact one-sided. Initiating touch is something I can control. Guiding someone's hands where is and is not safe. [Not that Lucifer had much use of his hands at the moment. When the blond arches into the touch, he flattens his palm over his heart.] You seem to want me to touch you quite a lot, majesty. Is thay why you are so antagonistic towards me?

[ The insinuation in Alastor's words made Lucifer's nostrils flare, a scowl taking over the smug grin as his eyes narrowed. ]

Like hell. You can get your dirty little shadows off me right now, sinner. His wings gave a partial flap in, briefly surging him upward against the shadows and putting a strain on the dark magic. The body might be small, but the strength in it was something else. ]

Or I'll make sure you regret it.

[Well, that was an interesting reaction. His grin stretches wide the more Lucifer struggles and flaps his wings.]

How the tables have turned and so quickly too! No, no. I think I quite like you like this. Particularly since you were just so eager to touch me mere minutes ago. [With a little growl, he used a claw to tear away a button on Lucifer's vest. Sending it flying into the distance. A threat? Or a promise.]

I didn't want to touch you, asshole! You wouldn't give me my ph-- EXCUSE ME! [ There was a matching growl from Lucifer as Alastor damaged his clothing, crimson flashing across his narrowed eyes. ]

And I definitely didn't rip your tacky outfit! [ The threat, he assumed, was of bodily harm, and if Alastor was going down that route, he wouldn't feel bad in doing the same. ]

Then you should have used another method to retrieve your cellular device instead of climbing me as if I were a sentient tree. I do not care that for all intents and purposes that you are the ruler this realm nor do I care that you are Charlie's father. Do not fucking touch me.

[Straightening, he allowed Lucifer to struggle just a little longer before putting a few feet of distance between them and releasing him with a snap of his fingers.]

[ With the sudden release, Lucifer hit the ground with a grunt, his wings flicking to resettle themselves after having been smushed against the wall. The look he turned up to Alastor was a nasty one, a deep anger boiling beneath the surface. Man issued threats to people for touching him, but had no issue in-

Suddenly, an idea came to him. Yes, that would do. ]

I'll do what I need to retrieve my stolen property. Now, fuck off.

[ Turning his back to Alastor, Lucifer touched the lock on the storage room. It turned at his urging, and he opened the door to step inside. Not that he was enjoying the idea of starting this little 'project', but just to get Alastor to leave.

Though with Alastor at his back now, he smirked to himself. Once the other stepped away, he would drop a very simple curse on that asshole. Make him deal with the consequences of his actions. ]

[ The huff of a laugh leaves Alastor as he sees Lucifer collapse to the ground in a little heap. Even more so when that angry glare met him once the demon looked up, though it was quickly accompanied by a roll of luminous, crimson eyes. ]

Oh, please. Nothing of yours has been stolen If you cannot look past your own pride, it is no wonder you took so long to aid Charlie in her dream.

[ One last sting. A jibe on his way from the room and away from the little devil king. His shadow had gotten what it needed from the storage rooms. Recordings from his shows dating back to the start of the original iteration of the hotel. Proof that Alastor had never had the intention of following the path of redemption that he'd promised to Lucifer's daughter.

With them safe and sound in the newly built tower where they could be guarded, he turned to leave, not noticing the curse befalling him as he left Lucifer to simmer in his work. He still didn't notice it for quite a few hours after the encounter when he used a tentacle made of darkness and shadow to push one of Husk's wings out of his way only to feel something touch his back. He jumped, barely holding back the squeak in his throat that threatened to escape and whipped his head around to see who dared touch him. But... nothing was there.

Then it happened again when his shadow gave Husk a pat on the head, earning it a smack to the hand from the demon which Alastor felt in his own hand. Again, he stiffened, looking around then back to his hand to flex his claws. There was only one thing that made the sensations between himself and his shadow one to one... but he was still far off from that. He had to be.

The final straw came when he threw his arm around Charlie's shoulders while walking with her and discussing the hotel's upcoming banquet. The fawn-like squeak escaped as he jumped back and gave himself a full body shake as the sensation of an arm around his own shoulders made goosebumps flare along his body. Eyes narrowing, he reached out his senses through the shadows and, ignoring Charlies concern, teleported himself right to the little king. ]

What the fuck did you do to me?
