PERSONALITY
alastor is the embodiment of neutral chaos. while he may wear a perpetual grin on the outside, the smile is just a mask to hide what he's feeling and thinking in order to hold on to some measure of control in any situation he is in. he has a great deal of self importance, making sure that every move he makes is to his benefit first and foremost. he values respect and manners and is not afraid to show his anger/displeasure when someone jabs at his pride. alastor knows he's not a good person, and he revels in that fact and in the power he holds instilling fear in other demons. he is not a complete and utter monster, however, and does have his emotions and fears buried under it all. it just takes a jackhammer and some elbow grease to get to that layer.
Appearance
7'0 . eyes - red. hair - red and blacklike many sinners in hell, alastor is much taller than he was as a human. standing at 7 feet tall, he is by no means the tallest demon around, but he is far from being the shortest. he is very thin in spite of his love for food with claw tipped hands and hooves hidden in specially tailored shoes. atop his head is a set of antlers that change size and shape with his mood as well as a pair of very fluffy ears. no, he does not have a tail under his coat, do not ask to see it, it does not exist- NO DON'T LOOK.
in life, alastor was born in new orleans at the start of the 20th century. being of mixed race, his life was by no means an easy one, but his mother did her best to at least make things comfortable for the two of them. the only thing he could ever resent her for was hiding the identity of his birth father from him.
as he grew older, he discovered his love for radio as the phenomenon took root across america. this love bloomed into a talent for captivating others with his voice once hidden behind the microphone during daytime hours and helped earn him a pretty penny.
late at night, however, if one were to tune in to a certain frequency while traveling through the bayous out side new orleans, they would pick up on an extra special show alastor hosted. one where they could hear the radio host slowly torture and eat his victims, often alive, while on air. many of these victims would last over the course of several episodes, but some were far less entertaining for him and so he finished them off far quicker. those were the lucky ones.
alastor does not remember much of his death, simply the barking of dogs and the stench of the swamp. once in hell, he began to make a name for himself by killing other demons. just as in life, he would take his victims and broadcast their torture live on air. once the demonic overlords were dead, he would stake his claim on their territory and take their contracts on the souls in their employment for his own to do as he pleased.

alastor's shadow is sentient, allowing him to control it and other shadows to his advantage. it also allows him to summon eldritch-like tentacles when needed.
