It turns out that Lucifer really is a cuddler, because he immediately stays snug up against Alastor's side and tucks his head in close. He isn't going to comment on it, he doesn't expect Alastor to comment on it; it's just... a thing that is happening. Better to just leave it at that.
Besides, Alastor is surprisingly warm and he can close his eyes and soak up some of that warmth. People spoke of Hell being a place of fire and brimstone and eternal burning, but in reality, it was always kind of chilly in the Pride ring. Now Wrath on the other hand...
He listens to Alastor's story, and realizes he has an idea of who the other was speaking of. Seven years ago... it's hard to ignore when two power houses end up in a fight that nearly kills both of them, and it had been a major discussion between himself, Carmine, and Zestiel not long afterward. It had been one of the last 'kingly' things he had done before... before...
Before all the darkness in his soul rose up to swallow him whole. ]
