He jumped, barely holding back the squeak in his throat that threatened to escape and whipped his head around to see who dared touch him. But... nothing was there.
Then it happened again when his shadow gave Husk a pat on the head, earning it a smack to the hand from the demon which Alastor felt in his own hand. Again, he stiffened, looking around then back to his hand to flex his claws. There was only one thing that made the sensations between himself and his shadow one to one... but he was still far off from that. He had to be.
The final straw came when he threw his arm around Charlie's shoulders while walking with her and discussing the hotel's upcoming banquet. The fawn-like squeak escaped as he jumped back and gave himself a full body shake as the sensation of an arm around his own shoulders made goosebumps flare along his body.
